Attack by attack being launched on Lebanon has made all the heart of Muslim’s people trembled. Began from July till the end of August 2006, the public area near the business centre inside the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) has became the place of attraction for all students to express their feeling on the current issue.
Maruf Club conducted a series of public speaking at the public area to give the chance for everyone to share their point of view and ideas at the same time to convey a protest message regarding the oppression on Muslim at the global arena. It is also hoped this would be the beginning point for the campus community to act as one ummah towards the justice.

The program is held for two months is in conjunction with the Peace and Global Justice campaign organized by IIUM after the Israel invasion on Lebanon.

At the same moment, the awareness in the society concerning this issue would be the fundamental for this public speaking program. The program coordinator, Mohd Fahmi Abd. Jalil who is studying at the Ahmad Ibrahim Kuliyyah of Laws (AIKOL) said “16 volunteers from different courses would deliver their speech for five minutes in any related issue. IIUM President, Tan Sri Sanusi Junid also encouraged all the students to grab this golden opportunity to be with the world in fighting all kind of injustice and oppression that is happening nowadays.”

Nurainaa Bajuni, student of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and one of the public speaking volunteers said this is the only chance for her to gather all students and encourage them to think. For her, purification of a Muslim would be the answer to solve our problem today. If the Muslim still do not want to instill themselves with iman, it is impossible for the ummah to gain peace.
